I have been housed few days at La Griffonne hotel in Port-au-Prince, a guesthouse in quiet neighbourhood 5 minutes walk from Av John Brown. My room cost about 80 $, including meals and a private bathroom, not that fancy but comfortable to sleep. The hotel is at 21 rue Jean Baptiste, Canape Vert.
